Nordic Forest Rituals – Bringing Ancient Wisdom into Modern Life
The Nordic Forest Rituals draw inspiration from the mythical landscapes of the Nordic forest—its trees, plants, spirits, animals, and the stories that emerge from deep within our folklore.
Origin of the stories
There was a time when nature was sacred, and humans were an integral part of it. Our goal is to reveal the beliefs of our ancestors about trees, animals, and forest spirits. By learning about the past, you can strengthen your intuition and deepen your connection to nature—perhaps embarking on an inner journey that transforms the way you see yourself and the natural world.
Oracle Cards
One way of enjoying the Nordic Forest Rituals is our oracle card deck, a physical deck of cards with beautiful illustrations. With the cards you will get a link to an eBook, where you can read about the stories and get deeper insights into the symbolism and meaning behind each card. Each story also gives suggestions for rituals that can bring a little ancient wisdom and magic into your everyday modern life. (The eBook is currently available in English, language versions planned too)
HOW TO USE ORACLE CARDS
1. Find a quiet space.
2. Ask a question in your mind.
3. Shuffle the cards.
4. Draw a card.
5. Reflect on the card's image, message and ritual – or just enjoy the stories from the eBook.
6. Write down your experience or share it with a dear friend.

About the Creators, Reetta Ranta and Riikka Haro
We are two sisters, a visionary writer and a creative designer, born in Eastern Finland to a family of varied backgrounds – a mix of nomad spirited artistic father and a language teacher mother ever interested in learning new things. We were brought up with stories about small creatures, nature spirits and gnomes in Finnish nature, a mystical world painted by our father, whereas our mother set up an example of the importance of languages and expanding your world view by meeting people and how reading opens the way to new ideas and skills. With this heritage we create stories and products that draw their inspiration from Finnish nature, mythology and folktales.
